Blythe Valley Park & Shirley Lions 14th September, 2008 10.30am - 1.00 pm 5K Fun Run combined with our Child & Teenage Cancer Awareness Roadshow Be entertained by a Live Steel Band, Refreshments, Bouncy Castle, Ice Cream & Music. Blythe Valley Park is an established business park offering an unrivalled environment, surrounded by the 135 acre Countryside Park. Fun Run participants will see a nature trail, bird hide, bird feeding station and the sustainable urban drainage system. The water features are part of this system and provide a perfect environment for wildlife habitat as well as an excellent recreation area for the local community. Liberty Property Trust UK hope that local people will continue to visit and enjoy the Countryside Park throughout the year. SEPTEMBER IS ALSO CHILD AND TEENAGE CANCER AWARENESS MONTH. RUNNING ALONGSIDE THIS EVENT WE WILL BE HOSTING OUR "CANCER AWARENESS ROADSHOW" WE HAVE A NUMBER OF INFORMED SPEAKERS WHO HAVE PUT TOGETHER AN EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATION SO AS WE CAN GET BETTER INFORMED ABOUT CHILD AND TEENAGE CANCER. WE WOULD ENCOURAGE PARENTS, TEACHERS AND TEENAGERS TO COME ALONG. AN HOUR OF YOUR TIME NOW COULD SAVE A CHILDS LIFE IN THE FUTURE LIBERTY PROPERTY TRUST UK (Blythe Valley Park Asset Managers) in partnership with Shirley Lions Club are pleased to announce the fifth charity Fun Run for youngsters and adults of all ages around the countryside pathways at Blythe Valley Park. Designed so that everyone can take part including young and old as well as more serious runners. The mini fun run starts at 11.00am and the 5 kilometre run at 11.30am. Run to be started by a First team player from Birmingham City Football Club Trophies will be awarded for the best fancy dress, youngest and oldest participants, fastest male and female (5K) Certificates and medals will be issued to all who complete the course Free Bouncy Castle (one voucher for all under 12 participants) Entry Fee: Adults 10.00 (12.00 on the day) Children Under 12 5.00 (6.00 on the day) Fancy dress optional Children below secondary school age must be accompanied by an adult. All competitors enter at their own risk and neither the organisers or their representatives will be held responsible for any injury or loss, howsoever caused. Entrants must follow the directions of the marshals at all times. All entry fees will be donated to THE MARIA WATT BIRMINGHAM FOUNDATION FOR CHILDHOOD & TEENAGE LEUKAEMIA - providing support and raising awareness for teenagers with leukaemia.
