If the idea of running is too strenuous we have a race where you dont even have to leave the computer!
Adopt a Duck in The Great British Duck Race for a chance of winning £10,000.
Each duck costs £2.00 and this money supports The Downs Syndrome Association, Wateraid and The NSPCC.
Additional donations can be made at the time of registration to The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia who support Teenage Cancer Trust in the development of specialist Teenage Cancer Units and Research into the causes of Leukaemia in Children and Teenagers. Additionally half of the funds raised through this appeal will go towards supporting 6 year old Jessica Magnusova's treatment fund for treatment of her cancer in the US. Unfortunately for Jessica, treatment is not available in the UK.
During last years event, not only did they smash the Guinness World Record for the 'World's Biggest Charity Duck Race,' previously held by Singapore, but also managed to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for various good causes.
Two thousand spectators went to Hampton Court to bask in the sunshine, cheer on their duck and have a quacking good time! As well as the massive £10,000 top prize (won by Duck 157791), 29 other lucky winners scooped one of a number of great prizes, including £2,000 of Bathstore furnishings supplied by the Lead Sponsors - Bathstore.
