Our First Black Tie Dinner Dance and Auction was held at The Forest of Arden Golf and Country Club on 9th June 2007. 

200 Guests attended The Forest of Arden and enjoyed a Fabulous 3 Course Meal, contributed enthusiastically to the main and silent auctions which included various match worn football shirts, a signed Kylie Minogue Gold Disc, Tickets to Ascot, Signed World Cup Rugby Shirt, a 2 week break in Connemara in Co Galway, a diamond pendant, a Clarice Cliff Vase to name a few.  Various prizes were won on the draws and raffle and everyone danced the night away to our fantastic Live Band - The Father Teds. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and made this such a memorable evening and a lasting tribute to Maria.   

Our aim, as always, was to raise awareness of the devastating illness that is Leukaemia in our children and teenagers, whilst raising vital funds for research into why they contract this illness.

The proceeds from this event will be used as follows:-  

We are supporting Birmingham Childrens Hospital and will be funding the purchase of "Datascope" - a piece of patient monitoring equipment for the Oncology Ward.

We are also supporting the building of a new Teenage Cancer Trust Unit in Birmingham.  This is a specialist unit which offers clinical excellence and meets the specific needs of Teenagers suffering with Cancer.

We are involved with CHILDREN with LEUKAEMIA who are researching a possible vaccine against Leukaemia.  This project is costing £5,000 per month to run but we feel that this is vital research which gives hope to offer protection to our children and grand-children in the future.
