Reading about Maria's illness is like reading the last two years of my life - my daughter was diagnosed with ALL in July 2006 - and ended up in ITU at the end of May 2007 with pneumonia and given 24 hours to live. Thankfully she pulled through and is due to complete her treatment in October. My heart goes out to you as I know how I felt when I was told I might lose her. Your foundation is a wonderful way of honouring the memory of your beautiful girl.

Like Diana and her family, we also lost a beautiful, healthy girl during her 'A' Level year. Laura, my youngest child and my only daughter was 15 when, after an initial mis-diagnosis, she was diagnosed with a complex mix of four types of cancer.After a terrible 14-month illness, Laura died 2 weeks after her 17th birthday.
